Chess Empire is a fast-paced, tactical reimagining of chess where gold, upgrades, and fog of war change everything.
You’ll still command a familiar board and pieces—but every turn, you earn gold through movement and captures, and can spend it in the in-game shop to recruit new units or unlock powerful upgrades. Plan your economy, invest wisely, and adapt your army on the fly.
But you won’t always know what’s coming. Fog of war limits vision to what your units can see—so unless your pieces are close, enemy threats stay hidden. Vision is directional, based on unit type and position, turning information into a key resource.
Combat is deadly, fast, and full of surprises. Upgrade units to unlock unique powers:
Promoted pawns can attack forward, not just diagonally.
Bishops can shoot with a bow, capturing from range.
Knights strike any tile exactly two spaces away, and see further than other units.
Rooks hit two enemies in a line.
Queens deal devastating AoE damage, clearing entire clusters of enemies in a single strike.
Positioning, timing, and map control matter just as much as piece value. You’ll need to outsmart, outmaneuver, and out-upgrade your opponent to win.
