About This Game
Heads up:
This free demo was developed as part of a school project. What you see here is the final version of Junktown Rally, at least for now. The game’s not in active development, but who knows what the future holds.
Story:
Welcome to NREC 4. The humans call it a neutral recycling colony. The locals call it Plink’ta.
For years, Earth’s trash has been falling from the sky, dropped by unmanned cargo ships like it’s no big deal. The Scraplings, tiny clever creatures who’ve lived here long before the first satellite even launched, had no say in it. Their world slowly disappeared under a mountain of garbage.
And it’s not just one kind of trash. This is the full timeline. Rusty toasters from the 1950s, busted VR headsets, retro soda machines, broken mech parts, neon signs, food wrappers from the future. It’s chaos.
So the Scraplings got creative. They started building race cars out of the junk and turning the mess into racetracks. Now they race to clean up their planet, one lap at a time.
Gameplay:
Pick up junk, race through scrapyard chaos, and turn trash into upgrades. The more you collect, the more points you get. Use those to improve your ride.
In the workshop you can swap out parts that don’t just look different but actually change how your car handles. Some parts are locked behind in-game challenges, so if you want the good stuff, you’ll have to earn it.
The more you race, the cleaner the tracks get. You’re literally making the world better by playing.
If enough people enjoy it, we might come back to it after finishing our studies. But for now, this is it. Our final build of Junktown Rally.
Thanks for playing.
And hey, don’t forget to recycle. Even if you’re not driving a garbage-powered go-kart.
