Pick up the Pieces,
You hear a loud crash from the other room. One of your Grandma's vases has fallen off the shelf. Mr Stitches' tail sweeps back and forth. Time to get to work.
Take a Breath, Wait for a Sign,
You lay the pieces out in front of you. They are a mixture of shapes, colours and patterns. You shake your head. You can't see it. Mr Stitches leaps down and brushes against your arm. You smile and take a deep breath. A fresh shadow appears before you.
Trust Mr Stitches.
You begin thoughtfully rotating and placing the pieces. You choose the biggest pieces first and start from the corners. Some of the shapes fit together perfectly. But you get stuck. Mr Stitches purrs. He gives you a clue. You place the final piece. Mr Stitches takes care of the rest. The shadows dance around you both.
He is the Kintsugi Cat, after all.
