Defeating bosses rewards you with randomly-affixed gear and powerful passive skills that drop directly from battle.
These drops aren't just minor stat bumps—they can completely pivot your approach, enabling specialized setups like critical-hit or evasion-focused builds. Dismantle unwanted loot into Ether to boost your base stats via "Ether Tuning" or craft boss-specific armaments.

While battles are driven by classic turn-order, every action carries tactical weight. Command the battlefield with deep, reactive combat mechanics:
Hate Management: Direct incoming attacks to your sturdiest tanks, triggering reactive Counter-Skills for devastating automatic retaliation.
Break System: Shatter enemy Break Gauges to cancel lethal ultimate spells and boss channelings. Broken enemies also take significantly increased damage.
Tactical Intercepts: Predict enemy intents (such as AoE strikes, single-target attacks, or casting) and lay traps. Successful predictions trigger immediate interrupts before the boss acts, rewarding you with guaranteed criticals, 1.5x damage, 1.5x Break damage, and guaranteed hits.
Overdrive: Temporarily supercharge your hero's abilities and unleash battle-turning specialized ultimate skills.

Every trial boss plays by a different set of rules. Face foes that alter the battlefield weather, copy your damage output and healing to strike back, or demand perfect HP balancing between twins. Adapting your build to these shifting rules is your only path to survival.
The Trial of Oracles — The Ultimate Test:
This endgame mode is a true test of mastery. Across 10 escalating difficulty levels, the boss mimics the skills of previous bosses and gains adaptive buffs in response to your attack patterns. As the difficulty rises, every mechanic you’ve learned—from aggressive counters and evasion buffs to boss summons and reflected damage—is thrown at you simultaneously. Bring your best builds to conquer Level 10.
Even in defeat, fighting hard yields consolation rewards based on the boss's remaining HP. Nothing is wasted. Reflect on your strategy, adjust your build, and dive back into the trial.
