Build a Settlement That Truly Works
From your first buildings, a complex network of resource gathering, craftsmanship, and supply begins to take shape. Businesses need workers, goods need storage space, and your production chains need to work together.
Goods physically move through your settlement: carriers transport resources and finished products between workplaces and storage buildings. Short routes keep your economy moving. If an important material is missing, an entire production chain can grind to a halt.
What matters is not only what you build – but also where you build it and in what order.
If You Want to Grow, You Need to Feed Your Settlers
The next smithy is already planned. But do you have enough food for the people who are supposed to work there?
Without food, your settlers will gradually starve. A reliable food supply keeps them alive. At the same time, the quality of your food affects population growth: The higher the quality of your food, the faster your population grows.
Secure your basic food supply and continue developing your food production. This gives you the foundation for new workers, additional businesses, and a larger settlement.
An Army Is Only as Strong as the Economy Behind It
Command swordsmen, archers, and musketeers in real time. Combine melee and ranged units, protect your shooters, and secure important positions.
An attack on enemy production buildings can hit your rival hard. But while your troops advance, your own settlement remains vulnerable. Decide when to attack, what to defend, and when a retreat is worth more than a costly victory.
The next campaign does not begin at the border – it begins in your mines, workshops, and smithies.
Trade in Goods – and in Opportunities
Buy missing goods, sell your surplus, and bridge shortages through your trading house. Purchased goods must also be transported and stored after they arrive.
You will also encounter gnomes, goblins, and moslings with different trade offers across the map. Their food, tools, and resources can save your economy or accelerate your expansion. But help costs coins – and a destroyed trading partner will not supply you later.
Good relations open up new options: improve your standing with other factions through trade, work toward alliances, or negotiate peace. Whether the other side agrees depends on your relationship and on their personality.
A neighbor can become your next enemy. Or the ally who gives you the time you need to grow.
Expeditions & New Horizons
Build your ship, load supplies at the harbor, and set sail on dangerous expeditions. Your supplies and decisions determine whether you return with valuable discoveries.
Discover 30 items across five rarity tiers. Equip your finds in the Village Centre to boost eligible buildings. The expedition system is already integrated into singleplayer and multiplayer.
Planned for the future: selling goods through the harbor and settling new islands. These additional harbor features have not yet been implemented.
Research Your Own Path
At the Scholar’s House, you develop your strengths across four areas: Military, Trade, Production, and Technology.
Increase the output of your mines, reduce material consumption in production, or improve your sales revenue. Increase the damage, attack speed, and range of your troops, or unlock new production possibilities.
But not every advantage can be combined with every other one. Limited specializations and mutually exclusive research paths make your choices matter.
Faster production or lower material consumption? Stronger archers or better-trained musketeers? Choose the upgrades that match your strategy.
You are not simply researching more. You are deciding what your settlement becomes better at.
New Map. New Starting Conditions. New Plan.
Procedurally generated maps present you with new decisions every time. Forests, coastlines, bodies of water, and resource deposits determine where you expand and which routes you need to secure.
Adjust map size, water coverage, forest density, and ore deposits. With the map seed, you can recreate the same starting world and find out whether a different strategy leads to better results this time.
Choose AI opponents, difficulty levels, and personalities: traders, builders, and warlords each focus on different priorities. An adjustable peace period gives you time to build up. Will you use it for supplies and research – or will your army already be waiting when the peace ends?
Decide What Victory Means to You
Domination: Defeat your rivals and decide the struggle for power in your favor.
Wealth: Reach the defined goals for coins and population before your competitors do.
Score: Achieve the highest score before the selected game time runs out. Population, buildings, stored goods, and coins all contribute to your result.
Endless Mode: Keep building without a fixed victory condition and experiment with different economic and research paths.
