BREACHLINE is a fast first-person shooter with low-poly PS1-style graphics. I'm making it mostly on my own, and it's in Early Access because I want to build the rest of it with the people who play it.
Right now the game has one mode, Deathmatch, on one map: a town on a floating island. You can play online with other people or against bots. More modes are planned and show up in the menu as "coming soon".
The game is built around moving fast and keeping your speed.
- Bunnyhop
- Slide
- Wall run
- Grapple rope
- Rocket jump
- Katana dash
- Small islands in the sky you can rope up to and fight on
You can chain these together. A rocket jump into a wall run into a rope swing is normal here.
Buildings are not just scenery. Explosives blow holes in walls, floors and roofs, and the rooms inside are furnished. If someone is hiding behind a wall, you can remove the wall. Street lamps fall over and the sky islands can be shot to pieces too.
- 54 guns: assault rifles, SMGs, snipers, shotguns, pistols, machine guns and launchers
- Gunsmith with sights, muzzles, magazines, grips, lasers and more for every gun
- Melee weapons, from knives and a katana to a fire axe and a baseball bat
- Grenade bat: hit your own grenade at people
- Spear kick
- Frag, flash and smoke grenades
- Explosive barrels you can pick up, carry and throw
- Healing items and a backpack inventory
- Account levels. New guns unlock as you level up
- Attachments unlock by getting kills with that gun, or you can buy them with money you earn in matches
- Every match pays out, with a bonus for finishing in the top three
- Guns and skins can also drop at the end of a match
- Weapon skins you can buy with in-game money or find as rarer drops
- Your guns, melee weapons and skins show up in your Steam inventory
- Character customization with mix-and-match outfit parts
- Upload your own picture as your character's face
- Host or join matches through Steam, and invite friends
- Text chat and proximity voice chat
- Mute a single player or everyone
- Steam leaderboard with gold, silver and bronze for the top three
- Minimap that only shows enemies you have actually seen, or who fire without a suppressor
- Steam Cloud saves for your profile and settings
- Rebindable keys for every action
- Field of view, separate sensitivity when aiming, and crosshair settings
- Graphics options and an auto performance mode for older computers
The game is playable and I play it myself, but it is not finished. Expect bugs, balance changes and things that move around between updates. I read feedback and I'd rather hear what's broken than not.
