With a selection of various seeds, cultivate a number of crops on your farm. Your modest venture grows together with the fields you tend to.
Put in the work to earn a living and then expand – restore your new home, diversify into livestock, invest in upgrades that make harvests an easier time for you.
Face the Haunting
You'll welcome the easier times because they're few and far between. Something is really wrong with the farm and even if the previous owners hadn't hidden this fact from Pedro, they sure wouldn't have been able to explain it.
Come nightfall, strange noises echo from the impenetrable darkness, and it gets worse with each passing day. Their sources soon manifest and get violent. Assemble an arsenal of weapons and fight for your very survival.
Optimize Your Work
Sell your crops at the market and buy new tools and vehicles to optimize your work in the field. Work consistently, balance between your farming efforts and your defenses and soon you'll swap your sickle out for a genuine combine harvester.

But this can't go on and running away is just not an option under these conditions. The creatures infesting this land will soon be the end of Pedro if he doesn't figure out what exactly is going on.
