PROXIMITY ALERT is a co-op survival space horror job simulator for one to six players on PC. Crew members maintain the aging Spaceport Soli-2, known as Solitude, an orbital facility long overdue for decommissioning. Players awaken from cryo storage to handle daily operations while facing threats in the void of space, all while working toward payday under relentless overtime demands.
Gameplay
The core loop centers on cooperative task completion inside the spaceport and on a nearby moon surface. Teams coordinate to finish assigned work while adapting to sudden environmental changes and unexpected dangers. Proximity voice chat supports close-range communication that fits the confined station layout and heightens tension during hazards. Character customization and gear purchases provide progression through in-game earnings, with an arcade area available for downtime activities. The Early Access build includes a space station and moon environment, ten randomized missions, various creatures, and initial customization options.
Game Modes
Work objectives include Cleaning Crew, Delivery Drop, Green Gardening, Fast Food, and Retail Rush, among others. These tasks require players to move through the facility, interact with equipment, and manage resources together. Random hazards interrupt progress and include Asteroid Aftermath, Fire Fighting, Extermination Event, Corrupted Computing, and Power Problems. Each hazard demands quick adaptation and teamwork to resolve without losing crew members. Mini-games appear throughout shifts to break up routine duties and add variety for groups.
Progression and Customization
Earnings from completed shifts fund personal upgrades and shared rewards. Players unlock new items and appearance options through the in-game shop. The arcade offers additional entertainment using accumulated funds. Early Access currently features basic customization and item unlocks, with plans to expand these systems based on player input during the development period.
Is It Worth Playing?
PROXIMITY ALERT remains in active development ahead of its Early Access launch. The current build supports up to six players with the listed missions, hazards, and features on a space station and moon setting. It suits groups that enjoy cooperative survival experiences built around job-style objectives and sudden procedural events. The developer intends to refine balance and add content such as new missions, creatures, and environments over roughly one year in Early Access. Players interested in this style of multiplayer horror and simulation can follow updates through official channels to assess readiness for their group.
