Mothkeep is a cute, short moth searching game.Â
As the keeper of a hidden moth sanctuary, you encounter moths in all life stages on your daily walks through the peaceful nature of your Mothkeep. You document your findings in a journal, creating an archive of crittery beauty.
Expect 2 to 4 hours full of relaxed moth hunting in nature.
Observe moths
Moths! Day-active nocturnal butterflies, to be precise! Discover over 40 cool insects that live in Mothkeep and try to get a good look at all of them with good timing. Each moth can be found in all its developmental stages.
Attract moths
Equipped with colorful flowers and a bright lamp, you will surely be able to fill your moth book quickly!
Fortunately, the shop sells everything you need to find new moths in yet undiscovered corners, encounter rare species more often, or make observing and documenting easier.
What is Mothkeep?✨
Short creature-collecting game: With 2 to 4 hours of playtime, the game is the perfect snack for an afternoon or a short gaming session. I deliberately want to keep my games short and concise to respect the players' time.
Simple game mechanics: A relaxed catch mini-game embedded in some narration.
Relaxed vibes: Enjoy the summer in nature! Happy little accidents open the door to new adventures.
The unknown friends: Get to know the world of day-active moths of Central Europe. It is very specific, but there are so many moths that I unfortunately had to make a selection. So please don't be sad if your favorite moth is no where to be found. If the game is well received, I will try to give your favorite a place in a future update, DLC, or even a whole new game. So feel free to leave a comment about which moth you would like to see! And as long as the comment function is not yet enabled here, let me know on Discord or in the forum. With a bit of luck, I might even be able to integrate your favorite right now. But no promises!Â
What is Mothkeep NOT?
No exploration and no wandering around in the world.
No huge adventure with quests and a long story.
No multiplayer of any kind. No PVP, no trading.
No spiders or other creepy things.
