The path to the Abbey is treacherous and winding. To replenish your depleting oil and find vital bandages, you cannot just stay on the main path. You must summon the courage to break away from the fog and cross the thresholds of what lies hidden in the dark:
​Echoes of Civilization: Venture into abandoned structures and forgotten settlements. Every unlocked door and dark cupboard could hold the resources you desperately need—or a hunter waiting in the cramped shadows.
​The Deep and the Ancient: Descend into claustrophobic underground chambers and navigate the oppressive halls of ancient ruins, where structural verticality changes how you hide and how you are hunted.
​The Living Wilderness: Tread carefully through shifting woods and misty lowlands. In these open spaces, the ground beneath you is a trap—every snapped branch or heavy footstep is a dinner bell for the abyss.
​The Lantern: Dynamic Illumination
Control the intensity of your lantern. A brighter light reveals more of the environment but drains your precious oil rapidly. As your fuel drains, so does your vision, until the darkness completely swallows your surroundings. Choose your aura wisely: changing the lantern's color drastically impacts fuel consumption, with Blue burning oil twice as fast, and Red draining your reserves at triple the speed.

Encounter the mysterious Witch to unlock the lantern’s true potential. Cycle through different light colors instantly and without limits to manipulate the creatures around you. Use specific wavelengths to exploit individual monster weaknesses, repel them, or force translucent horrors to materialize.
Ancient Prayers: Divine Interventions
Channel the ultimate power of your lantern by invoking forgotten prayers found in lost books. These sacred rituals cannot be cast anywhere at will; instead, they must be brought to specific points of interest to alter the world around you. Use their divine power to unseal long-hidden secret chambers, reinforce entire areas with protective kinetic barriers, or purge the corrupting forces of darkness that consume the land. cooldown—every divine intervention must be calculated.
