At the start of the game each player is secretly assigned a role affiliated with one of the following:
An informed minority (the Mafia)
An uninformed majority (the Innocents)
The game has two alternating phases: Night , during which those with night killing powers may covertly kill other players, and Day, in which surviving players debate the identities of players and vote to eliminate a suspect.
The game continues until a faction achieves its win condition; for the town, this usually means eliminating the evil minority, while for the minority this usually means reaching numerical parity with the village and eliminating any rival evil groups.
Using social deduction and investigative roles you will find the killers among the group. However you can't blindly trust your friends, as they might be framing innocent players!
- Win by eliminating the evil minority, whether it's done by killing them during the night or voting them out during the day.
- Understand if someone is behaving in a suspicious manner.
- Read the last will of dead players in order to find out who's a part of the Mafia.
- During discussions let players know know what new information you've discovered during the night.
- Write your own last will driven by the hints you've gathered.
- Vote to lynch suspected Mafiosos.
- Win by eliminating any rival groups.
- Deceive your friends and backstab them during the night.
- Kill town members and frame the survivors.
- Talk with the other Mafia members privately and put together a villainous plan for the following day.
- Deflect suspicion from fellow Mafiosos to cause havoc and divide the town members.
- When you learn to survive without anyone, you can survive anything.
