Beakstorm - Spielbeschreibung

Aerial Combat Without Weapons

Beakstorm is a wave-based flight action game, in which you play as Mona, a bird shepherd who needs to defend her home above the clouds against waves of invading industrial airships. Her glider has no weapons installed, instead she has massive quantities of bird pheromone at her disposal, which she can use to direct flocks of sharp-beaked birds into the balloons of the enemy.

Lead Birds Into Battle

Birds are the only way to deal damage to enemies, so you will need to use all tools at your disposal to guide them towards your targets. Pheromone can be dispensed either directly from Mona's glider, or it can be shot out using a variety of unlockable projectiles, all of which have unique effects on the birds around them.

Face The Behemoths From Below

The surface has been taken over by ravenous industry and greedy corporations. They have started sending a variety of airships to now conquer the skies, and you will need to fend them off!

Follow Mona's resistance in the Campaign, as she not only defends against the airships, but starts to attack their facilities and undermines their coal production. Play through 10 various missions – each 10 to 15 minutes long –, which see you both defeating waves off enemies and completing other objectives, such as destroying enemy facilities on mountain tops and defending your village against attackers. Missions are graded by your performance and time, so mastery over your glider is key to chasing gold ranks!

Alternatively, Arcade Mode pits you against unending waves of enemies with ever increasing difficulty. Between waves, choose between restoring health and changing your projectile type, as you are limited to only one in this mode. Master control over your birds and guide them to the high-score!

Become One With The Flock

Beakstorm features an immersive soundscape that envelopes you in the flock. 3D-Spatialization is used so you can accurately hear how many birds are flying around and actively following you. Meanwhile, a dynamic soundtrack shifts with the intensity of the current wave, highlighting the danger that it poses as well as the calmness between combat encounters.
