MyHiStory is a turn-based strategy card game for PC that pits historical figures and legends from across eras against each other in 1v1 battles. Players construct decks around Characters, Spells, Equipment, and an optional Ascension Deck while adapting to Battlefield-specific rules that alter each match.
Gameplay
Each match begins with both players at 4,000 Life. The sequence starts with drawing cards and generating resources to deploy Characters into designated battlefield slots. Units can then be equipped, Spells can be cast, and attacks can be declared. When an attack targets an opponent directly, any remaining eligible blockers on the field must be addressed first. Victory comes from reducing the opposing Life total to zero.
Actions often trigger a Chain Response window, allowing players to commit resources or play eligible cards before resolution. This system rewards timing and foresight. Combo Attacks let compatible units coordinate strikes based on board position. Fate Checks use visible card values to modify power, activate effects, or shift outcomes during exchanges. Ascension requires meeting specific conditions on a unit, after which a separate Ascension Deck can be used to transform it mid-battle.
The card pool exceeds 100 entries spanning Characters, Spells, Equipment, Ascension cards, Followers, and Battlefields. Main Decks range from 20 to 100 cards, with an optional Ascension Deck limited to 10 cards. Figures such as Guan Yu, Sun Wukong, and Nezha appear alongside cards from other eras and legends. Eight Battlefields each establish distinct settings, several of which impose additional rules that reshape match conditions. Battle music adjusts according to the current state of play.
Game Modes
The game supports solo battles against AI opponents. Two-player matches occur through Steam rooms, accessed via a public room list or by entering a six-digit room code. A deck builder provides search tools, filters, and the ability to save decks locally. The current version centers exclusively on 1v1 card battles and does not include a story campaign, ranked matchmaking, or same-screen or split-screen PvP options.
Deck Building and Battlefield Variety
Deck construction emphasizes synergy between core components and the chosen Battlefield. Characters form the frontline presence, while Spells and Equipment provide utility and enhancement. The optional Ascension Deck adds a layer of transformation potential once conditions are met. Battlefields introduce variety by altering rules, such as modified deployment limits or special victory conditions, encouraging players to adjust strategies accordingly.
